PitchDetector.cc is an independent browser tool for singers, instrumentalists, music students, and curious learners who want a quick pitch reference without installing an app.
Sing or play one clear note and the detector estimates its note name, octave, frequency, and distance from the nearest equal-tempered note. A reference piano, tuning calibration, and broad voice guides are included for practice.

The tool is intentionally simple: open the page, allow microphone access, and start with one sustained sound. It is useful for warming up, matching a target note, checking intonation, and connecting what you hear with written notation.

About the readings
No pitch detector is perfect. Room noise, breathy sounds, vibrato, chords, strong overtones, and a distant microphone can make the result less stable. For the clearest reading, use one sustained note in a reasonably quiet room and let the display settle.
